Margarita
Margarita is a Caribbean island of the coast of Venezuela, to the Northeast of Caracas, the country's capital. Margarita is really two islands joined in the middle by a stretch of sand, mangrove, and marsh. The western side, called the Peninsula de Macanao, is largely undeveloped and is home to the endemic yellow-headed and yellow-shouldered Margaritan parrot.
Margarita is a great place to visit with plenty to see and do. It has beautiful churches, ancient castles and fabulous natural sites which truly make it 'A pearl in the Caribbean'.
Quite close to La Casa Amarilla is Porlamar which is the largest city on the island. Porlamar is a Free Port and is a hub of cultural activities, shopping and nightlife.
One of Margarita's most beautiful attractions is the Lagoon of La Restinga National Park where you can ride in a boat through the mangroves and reach a very long beach. Do not miss the opportunity to have fish or seafood for lunch under a hut.
Margarita's climate is hot and tropical, with ample sunshine and very little rainfall year-round.
